Aadhaar Loan Scam Alert:These days, posts giving “₹3 lakh loan on Aadhaar card” are going viral on social media. It is being claimed that this is a government scheme. But the truth is that the Press Information Bureau has called it completely fake. That is, as cool as this offer looks, it is equally dangerous.
What did the government say? know the whole truth
The government has clearly said that no such “PM Loan Scheme” exists which will give ₹3 lakh only on Aadhar card. Press Information Bureau has termed this viral claim as false. Speak in native language – “This is a straight game of cheating, brother!”
How are people fooled?
These fraudsters use government logo, photos and language so that people think that this is a real scheme. They also create pressure to take a quick decision by putting words like “Apply Now”. Many times the website also looks like a government website, due to which the common man easily gets trapped.
The game is played with links and QR codes
A link or QR code is given in these fake advertisements. As soon as you click on it, you reach a fake website. There you are asked for Aadhar number, mobile number and bank details. That’s where the game begins—and your data ends up in the wrong hands.
