Bhooth Bangla Becomes Akshay Kumar & Priyadarshan's 7th Movie Together; See Their Box Office

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have reunited at the box office after 16 years with the horror comedy Bhooth Bangla. The movie opened to mixed response but witnessed good paid previews earning Rs 3.5 crore.

And a good opening day of Rs 15 crore including paid previews. It witnessed growth in the biz on day two earning Rs 17 crore and on day three the number is expected to hit Rs 18-20 crore.

The 3-day box office total of Bhooth Bangla including limited paid previews,will be around Rs 50 crore.

Now, it all depends on the big first Monday test. If the movie manages to sustain well at the box office, it may sail through or else this would become Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s third box office flop together.

A Look At Akshay Kumar & Priyadarshan’s Box Office Report Card

The duo first worked together in the 2000 cult comedy classic Hera Pheri which became a box office success.

They followed it up with Garam Masala in 2005, which too became a big box office hit. A year later in 2006, their third movie Bhagam Bhag found box office success.

It was followed by Bhooth Bhulaiyaa in 2007 which was their biggest grosser till date but has now been surpassed by Bhooth Bangla.

In 2009, they did De Dana Dan which became their first box office flop together and in 2010, the duo did Khatta Meetha. That movie too failed at the box office.

16 years after Khatta Meetha, they have now reunited with Bhooth Bangla.

After Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are working again in thriller Haiwaan starring Saif Ali Khan. The movie is expected to be out in theatres in the latter half of the year.

Haiwaan will be Akshay and Priyadarshan’s eighth film together.
