Now Madhya Pradesh BJP has opened a front against Congress and opposition parties for not passing the Women’s Reservation Bill (131st Amendment Bill of the Constitution, 2026) in the Parliament. Taking a tough stand on this issue, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav organized a press conference in Bhopal on Sunday (April 19, 2026) and made sharp attacks on the opposition parties.

The Chief Minister announced that BJP will go among the public on this issue. A huge ‘Protest March’ will be taken out in Bhopal on Monday (April 20, 2026). In the coming days, demonstrations, rallies, marches and public meetings will be organized in all the districts and divisions of the state. Resolutions will be passed in support of women’s reservation at Panchayat and urban body level also. A one-day special session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly will be called to discuss this issue and a condemnation motion will also be brought.

Women are leading as collectors in 17 districts of MP

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that we had heard the story of 5 thousand years old Draupadi’s disrobing in history, but today the way the opposition has played with the honor of sisters in the temple of democracy is extremely painful and shameful. The people of the country will never forgive such people. Madhya Pradesh has today emerged as a strong example in the field of women empowerment. This is the only state in the country where women are leading as collectors in 17 districts and there are more than 10 districts where women are working on responsible posts of both Collector and SP. This is not just a matter of statistics, but a clear evidence of our thinking, policy and commitment that we are determined to give women a leading role in the decision-making process.

Prime Minister gave opportunity to every party to give suggestions

The Chief Minister further said that the separatist and opportunistic mentality of the opposition has once again been exposed. Congress and its allies have again reversed course on the issue of Women’s Reservation Bill, which clearly shows their anti-women thinking. I condemn this act in the strongest terms. In the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as proposers, every party was given the opportunity to give suggestions from the very beginning. Prime Minister Modi also wrote an open letter to everyone, so that no one says that we did not get an opportunity to speak or we were not discussed.
