Ingredients required to make Phool Makhana Kheer

- 1 cup flower makhana
- 500 ml milk
- 2-3 spoons ghee
- 3-4 green cardamoms
- 10-12 nuts
- 4-5 raisins
- 80-100 grams sugar (as per taste)
- 3-4 saffron threads
Simple method of making Phool Makhana Kheer
Boil Milk:
First of all, pour 500 ml milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and keep it to boil on low flame. Keep stirring the milk continuously so that it does not burn. Keep boiling until the milk thickens slightly.
Fry Makhane:
Heat 2-3 spoons of ghee in a pan. Add flower makhana to it and fry on low flame till it becomes golden and crisp. When the makhanas are roasted, break them slightly. This will further enhance the taste of kheer.
Add Makhana:
Now, add roasted makhana in boiling milk and let it cook well for 5-7 minutes. During this time the makhana will absorb the milk well and the taste of the kheer will increase.
Enhance Taste:
Next, add sugar, green cardamom, cashew nuts and raisins. Mix all these things well and keep stirring the kheer continuously so that the sugar dissolves well and the kheer tastes evenly.
Touch of Saffron:
Now add 3-4 saffron threads to the kheer. The taste and color of saffron will give a wonderful look to the kheer. Let it cook for 10-15 minutes and then turn off the gas.
Serve cold or hot:
Now your Phool Makhana Kheer is ready. You can serve it hot or cold as per your choice. Eat this kheer as morning breakfast and start the day delicious and nutritious.
