A solid fifty from Rinku Singh has set up the Kolkata Knight Riders’ 4-wicket victory against the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 game at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Rinku, who has been out of form in the previous games of the IPL 2026 season, smashed 53 runs off 34 deliveries. Kolkata Knight Riders secured their first win in the ongoing IPL 2026 season and jumped to the 9th position of the IPL 2026 points table.

After choosing to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings while Vaibhav Arora opened the bowling attack.

The young duo made a solid start, scoring 63 runs for the powerplay. Varun Chakravarthy gave the first breakthrough, dismissing Vaibhav Suryvanshi for 46 runs.

He bagged his second wicket dismissing Dhruv Jurel for 5 runs. With the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal for 39 runs by Sunil Narine, Rajasthan Royals lost three wickets between 16 runs.

Varun Chakravarthy bagged his third wicket dismissing Riyan Parag for 12 runs. With Sunil Narine bagging his second wicket by dismissing Donovan Ferreira, Rajasthan Royals lost 5 wickets for 124 runs.

The most crucial over came from Karthik Tyagi where he dismissing Ravindra Jadeja and Shimron Hetmyer in the same over.

He bagged his third wicket dismissing Ravi Bishnoi for duck and Jofra Archer got dismissed on a run out. By the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals scored 155 runs for 9 wickets.

Kartik Tyagi and Varun Chakravarthy bagged three wickets each while Sunil Narine bagged two wickets in his spell.

Chasing a 156 runs target, Tim Seifert and Ajinkya Rahane opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.

Archer bagged the wicket of Tim Seifert on a golden duck while Nandre Burger picked the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane for duck.

Cameron Green smashed 27 runs off 13 deliveries before being dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. With Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rovman Powell at crease, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 51 runs in the powerplay.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi who came to bat at No.3 got dismissed cheaply for 10 runs. Ravindra Jadeja bagged the wicket of Rovman Powell for 23 runs as KKR lost five wickets for 70 runs.

After Yash Raj Punja picked the wicket of Ramandeep Singh for 10 runs, Rinku Singh and Anukul Roy are aiming to complete the chase.

The duo complete the chase as Rinku Singh smashed fifty and remained unbeaten with 53* runs while Anukul Roy scored 29* runs.

Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets while Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Raj punja bagged a wicket each.

Kolkata Knight Riders will play their next game against Lucknow Super Giants on April 26 at Ekana Sports Stadium, Lucknow.
