His elder brother, renowned superstar Chiranjeevi, provided updates about Pawan's health on social media. Following the procedure, Pawan Kalyan took to his official account to express gratitude to those who reached out during his health scare. The star of They Call Him OG thanked family members including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, and other prominent figures from the South Indian film industry, such as Jr NTR. He assured everyone that he would soon be back to his regular duties.

On April 17, reports emerged regarding a sudden health scare that Pawan Kalyan experienced during an official meeting. Following initial assessments and an MRI scan, he was transferred to Hyderabad for further evaluation. The medical team determined that immediate surgery was necessary based on his test results. The procedure was successfully conducted the following day, and doctors have recommended a recovery period of approximately seven to ten days before he can resume his official responsibilities.
Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the film Ustaad Bhagat Singh earlier this year and is currently working on an action film tentatively titled PSPK32, directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Talluri, with a script by Vakkantham Vamsi. Filming is expected to commence later this year.
