Mumbai, April 19: Kotak Mahindra Bank registered a 3-wicket victory against Standard Chartered Bank in a Plate group first round match, of the RBI Sports Club organize 64th Sir Benegal Rama Rau Bank Shield Cricket Tournament 2026, conducted under the auspices of MCA and played at Oval Maidan on Sunday.
Sent in to bat first, Standard Chartered Bank were restricted to 140 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Kastubh Bothare 38 runs, Saurabh Randive 35 runs, Mahesh Shelke 21 runs not out helped their team reach a modest total. Aman Gujar 3 for 24 and Vikas Chaubey 2 for 19 were Kotak Bank’s best bowlers.
In response, Kotak Mahindra Bank scored 141 runs for 7 wickets in 17.1 overs. Anant Kambali 32 runs, Kunal Rele 28 runs, Ahemad Kapadia unbeaten 23 runs ensured victory for the team. Mahesh Shelke 3 for 30 was Standard Chartered best bowler.
