CM Yogi’s sharp attack on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act not being passed, said – the scene in Parliament was like the disrobing of Draupadi

Lucknow : UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a big attack on the opposition by holding a press conference in Lucknow on Sunday regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. He said that when PM Modi took power in the country in 2014, he had made one thing clear. He had said that there are only four castes in the country – women, poor, youth and farmers. He said that with the intention of weakening India, he has looted the country by supporting his own family in the name of casteism. For them this (Nari Shakti Vandan Act Amendment Bill) was a challenge.

CM Yogi said that whatever progressive step we have taken under the leadership of PM Modi, Congress and all its partners have always opposed it. He said that there is huge anger in the minds of half the population about this anti-women conduct of the opposition. That anger is towards Samajwadi Party, RJD, TMC, DMK and those parties which were partners in this sin, women’s anger is being seen towards them. The scene inside the House of ‘Indi Alliance’, Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC, DMK was like the ‘disrobing of Draupadi’ in a completely packed assembly.

India alliance conspired

The Chief Minister said that the steps taken by PM Modi are in the interest of the society and the country. How they act as barriers and to what extent the Indian alliance conspires to stop those steps from moving forward. CM Yogi said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act was passed in the year 2023, but when women’s organizations and social organizations demanded that this Act should be implemented in 2029 instead of 2034. As per their demand, PM Modi, after consulting all the parties, the Central Government brought necessary amendments in the Nari Shakti Vandan Act.

‘The rights of any state will not be reduced’

CM Yogi said that some states had raised demands regarding this lest their rights be reduced through this. While passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in 2023, PM Modi had decided that no one’s rights would be taken away. For 33 percent reservation, additional seats will be increased in Lok Sabha and Assembly. He said that this does not reduce anyone’s rights, there was only one wish that the House should come together and give the women of India their rights in 2029 by passing an amendment bill with security, respect and self-reliance.

SP attacked on the pretext of Muslim women

The Chief Minister said that what kind of irresponsible comments and conduct were made by the opposition in the House is not hidden from anyone. If it had been passed unanimously, the entire House would have got credit for it. The woman would have got her rights. CM said that SP raised the issue that why Muslim women are not getting reservation? They appeal to the Constitution, but their conduct was seen to be against the sentiments of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Shahbano episode reminded to Congress

CM said that when the Constitution of India was being made, there was a demand for reservation on the basis of religion. All parties had opposed it. Baba Saheb had written a very sharp comment regarding this that once partition has taken place, India cannot be ready for another partition. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had opposed this. All the members had opposed it. When they talk about Muslim women today, where were they? In the Shahbano episode, the Congress government tried to deprive Muslim women of their rights.
