This fast bowler from Afghanistan is suffering from a serious disease named HLH, admitted to Delhi hospital.

Former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran is suffering from a serious health problem these days. Actually, 38 year old Zadran has suffered from a rare disease called HLH and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in New Delhi. He is admitted in ICU under the supervision of doctors. According to the family, Jadran started having health problems in October last year. Initially he was treated in Afghanistan, but when his condition became serious, doctors advised him to get better treatment in India.

After this he was brought to Delhi, where a team of expert doctors is treating him. Although initially there was improvement in the condition, after some time the infection increased again and he had to be admitted to the hospital again.

Know what is HLH disease?

Actually HLH i.e. Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis is considered to be a very rare but serious disease. In this, the body’s immune system becomes excessively active and starts damaging the body’s organs. It can affect vital organs like bone marrow, liver, spleen and lymph glands. According to doctors, this disease is usually seen more in children, but in many cases adults also fall prey to it. When the immune system works abnormally, severe inflammation, infection and many other complications can occur in the body.

Jadran’s family told that he had also suffered from serious infections, which included problems like TB. In fact, after MRI and CT scan, doctors found out that the infection had reached his brain, making the treatment more challenging. At present, doctors are continuously monitoring his condition and treatment is going on.

In fact, Shapoor Zadran has been one of the important players of the initial phase of Afghanistan cricket team. He represented Afghanistan in international cricket between 2009 and 2020 and has performed brilliantly for the team in many important matches. Left-arm fast bowler Zadran played 44 ODI and 36 T20 international matches in his career. During this period, he took a total of 80 wickets, which includes 43 wickets in ODI and 37 wickets in T20. Due to his fast bowling and aggressive style, he remained counted among the important bowlers of the team for a long time.
