The release date of the much-anticipated film directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Jr NTR has been delayed, with the new release set for June 11, 2027. The first glimpse of the film is scheduled for May 20.
Jr NTR, whose full name is Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and who is the grandson of NT Rama Rao, shared a new poster of the film on his Instagram account along with the updated release date. Originally, the film was planned for release on June 25, 2026.
Accompanying the poster, Jr NTR wrote: “HIS REIGN… HIS SOIL…JUNE 11, 2027…IT IS”
The film, titled NTRNeel, will feature Jr NTR in the lead role and is produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.
This is not the first postponement, as the film’s release was initially scheduled for January 9, 2026, before being moved to June 25, 2026, and now to over a year later. Shooting for the project commenced in February 2025 at Ramoji Film City.
Jr NTR was most recently seen in the 2023 Bollywood film ‘War 2’, directed by Ayan Mukerji, where he starred opposite Hrithik Roshan. Despite high expectations as part of the Yash Raj Spy Universe, the film underperformed at the box office.
Before that, Jr NTR appeared in the 2024 film ‘Devara: Part 1’, directed by Kortala Siva, which also starred Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The sequel to that film is anticipated soon.
