New Delhi: BMWMotorrad has started taking pre-bookings for its upcoming F 450 GS in India. The bike is set to launch on April 23, 2026, and customers can now reserve it through authorised dealerships. The update was shared on the brand’s social media, along with a teaser showing the motorcycle in an off-road setting.

This new model will sit as an entry point into BMW’s adventure bike lineup, replacing the older G 310 GS. With bookings now open, the company is clearly moving closer to its official launch, and interest around the bike is already building among adventure touring fans.

The F 450 GS comes with a new engine setup compared to the outgoing model. It uses a 420cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine instead of a single-cylinder unit. This engine produces 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

BMW is also offering a feature called Easy Ride Clutch. This feature can help riders to shift gears in normal riding conditions without using the clutch lever, which can make city riding and long trips more convenient.

In terms of features, the F 450 GS gets a 6.5-inch colour TFT display along with heated grips, traction control, and four riding modes. It also comes with dual-channel ABS, which can be turned off when needed, especially during off-road use.

Globally, the bike is offered in four versions, including Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy. Though it is not yet clear which of these will come to India.

As for pricing, the F 450 GS is expected to be priced between Rs 4.50 lakh and Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with models like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Honda NX500 in the Indian market.
