The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have been dubbed as the royals that now make up the Royal Family's "Fab Four". The nickname was previously coined by the media to describe Prince William, Princess Catherine, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Prince and Princess of Wales once worked as a team alongside Harry and Meghan prior to their decision to step away from royal duties in 2020. The former "Fab Four" are now involved in a bitter feud, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex having previously aired attacks on the royals - including Catherine and William. During celebrations in Marble Hall to commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday, Edward and Sophie could be seen alongside William and Kate, with the four of them discussing the day's events and enjoying a cocktail in memory of the late Queen.
The event, which took place at Buckingham Palace, saw around 190 guests in attendance.
Edward is thought to share a close bond with his nephew, who is only 19 years his junior.
Much like their husbands, Catherine is said to share a close relationship with Sophie - who also joined the Royal Family through marriage.
Princess Catherine stunned in lilac, while her husband looked dapper in a dark suit.
The special reception, hosted by the King and Queen, commemorated what would have been the late Queen's 100th birthday today.
As well as the royals, guests at the reception included representatives from a selection of Elizabeth's patronages, including Cancer Research UK, British Red Cross Society, Jockey Club, Royal Kennel Club and the Army Benevolent Fund.
The King and Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester headed to the British Museum to see the final models of the national memorial to Elizabeth II earlier today.
