Formal notification of his name has also been issued. The party had sent his name to the Assembly as the leader of the JDU Legislative Party. Shravan Kumar has long political experience. He has been continuously elected MLA from Nalanda assembly constituency since 1995. This experience of his is being considered as a strong base for the party. Shravan Kumar has been elected MLA eight times so far. He has also become a minister in Nitish cabinet for the seventh time. Shravan Kumar currently holds the charge of Rural Development Ministry, Transport Ministry, Social Welfare Ministry and Food Ministry. Before this, he had also handled the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Ministry. He has also been in-charge of JDU’s Uttar Pradesh.

Nitish Kumar’s security increased even before increasing responsibility

Along with Shravan Kumar, the government has provided Z category security to Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar.
