Till now, passengers going from Lucknow to Kanpur have to face heavy traffic jams via Unnao. It generally takes two and a half to three hours to cover a distance of about 70 to 80 kilometers, whereas in case of traffic jam this time can reach up to 5 to 6 hours. After the construction of the new expressway, this journey can now be completed in less than an hour.
speed of 120 kilometers per hour
This expressway has been designed in such a way that vehicles can run at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. However, only four-wheelers will be able to use this route, while small vehicles like bikes and autos will be banned on it. About 18 kilometers of this route has been made elevated, which will make the traffic more smooth.
