Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam
On April 22, 2025, Pahalgam valley Baisaran was targeted by terrorists. Due to the beauty of Baisaran, it is also called Mini Switzerland of India. But after the attack the number of tourists here is decreasing. At present it is closed and the reason for this is to make the route reaching it motorable. Due to which most of the injured tourists could not get facilities during the time of the accident. Keeping this in mind, instead of trekking, its route is being made motorable. If you want to reach here easily from Delhi then air travel is best for this. It takes only 40 to 45 minutes to reach Srinagar. Its ticket fare is Rs 5 to 7 thousand. After landing in Srinagar, one has to leave for Pahalgam which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Taxis are available from the airport itself, whose fare ranges between Rs 3000 to Rs 4000. However, sharing cabs may reduce expenses a bit.
Reaching Baisarn by Train
If you want to reach Baisarn Valley by train then it may be cheaper for you but it takes more time. After traveling by train from Delhi to Jammu, reach Srinagar by bus or car. From here you can reach Pahalgam by taking a normal cab or personal car.
Pahalgam to Baisaran Valley
To reach Baisarn Valley from Pahalgam, you had to trek by mule or on foot. But now this route is being made motorable. The distance of this route is 4 to 5 kilometers and earlier the fare of mule or pony was around Rs 1400 per person. However, this rate also changed according to the season.
