The portals of Kedarnath Dham opened today. The temple gates were opened shortly after 8:00 AM. Before this, the temple was decorated in a truly magnificent manner. The shrine has been adorned with approximately 51 quintals of flowers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present during the opening of the portals and also performed prayers in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Although the weather at Kedarnath Dham is currently bitterly cold, thousands of devotees have nevertheless arrived. The portals of Kedarnath Dham will now remain open for the next six months, starting from April 22.

**What CM Dhami Said After Offering Prayers at Kedarnath Dham**
After the portals of Kedarnath Dham were opened, CM Dhami performed worship and rituals. During this time, CM Dhami appealed to the devotees regarding the importance of maintaining cleanliness. Furthermore, addressing the arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra, he stated that excellent arrangements have been put in place; however, he emphasized that it is also the responsibility of the devotees to help maintain them.

**Flower Shower via Helicopter at Kedarnath Dham**
Following the opening of the Kedarnath Dham portals, flowers were showered over the temple premises from a helicopter. Two helicopters were deployed specifically for this floral shower. Public *darshan* (viewing) is set to begin following CM Dhami's prayers. Devotees are waiting for their turn with great patience.

The portals of Kedarnath Dham are set to open for devotees on April 22. However, a day prior to this opening, Baba Kedarnath's palanquin reached the shrine following a journey involving several halts.
