Gold Price today
Gold held below $4,750 per ounce on Wednesday after falling more than 2% in the previous session, with prices now down about 10% since the conflict began. The collapse of US-Iran peace talks, despite an extended ceasefire, maintained geopolitical uncertainty, while the Strait of Hormuz remained shut. Additional downside pressure came from a stronger dollar and developments around Federal Reserve leadership, where nominee Kevin Warsh emphasized independence and the need for a new inflation framework. His relatively hawkish tone reduced bullion appeal, limiting safe-haven demand support.

Additional pressure came from a stronger dollar following developments around the Federal Reserve leadership, where nominee Kevin Warsh signaled an independent and relatively hawkish stance. His remarks on addressing persistent inflation further weighed on silver, limiting its upside despite safe-haven demand factors.
