Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 feud have been making news for a while now. However, it looks like the feud between two big stars might finally be over. As per the latest report, Ranveer Singh is taking a big step to resolve his bitter dispute with filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house. Here is what we know.
Ranveer Singh takes concrete steps to set things right with Farhan AkhtarAs per a report by Free Press Journal, Ranveer Singh, who is currently enjoying the massive success of Dhurandhar, has agreed to return his signing amount, which was reportedly around ₹10 crore.
The report also reveals that Ranveer has promised to give Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment a ‘stake’ in his next film, which has been tentatively titled as Pralay. However, there is no report confirming the percentage of stakes that Ranveer has decided to give.
If these reports are true, we will finally have a resolution to the Don 3 feud.
What was the Don 3 controversy all about?The tension between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh began after the latter's exit from Don 3. After Singh's sudden exit, reports revealed that Excel was seeking ₹40 crore in compensation, citing pre-production expenses, scheduling changes and related losses.
Ranveer had reportedly been unhappy with the script and the way the project was being handled. As the matter escalated, the Producers Guild of India also reportedly stepped in to mediate.
While the dispute may be nearing an end, the makers have yet to decide who plays Don. Earlier, it was reported that Hrithik Roshan may take on the role. However, in a recent interview, he denied being approached for the film.
In a recent interview with Variety India, Hrithik Roshan revealed that he was not approached for Don 3, "What started off as just a rumour has now taken a life of its own, and it’s important to set the record straight. I would like to categorically clarify that I was never approached for 'Don 3' at any given time. I request the media to steer clear of any such unverified reports.”
