SRH showcased an impressive performance, scoring 242 runs with only two wickets lost, largely thanks to Abhishek Sharma's explosive batting. In response, the Delhi Capitals struggled to reach even 200 runs, resulting in a disappointing defeat.

Following the defeat, Delhi Capitals' captain Axar Patel addressed the media, reflecting on the mistakes that led to their loss. He emphasized the missed opportunities to dismiss Abhishek Sharma, stating,

“We missed a run-out chance and dropped a catch. If we had taken those opportunities, we could have restricted their score. However, credit must be given to a batsman who performs exceptionally well.”

Patel further elaborated on the importance of fielding, saying,

“Fielding is within our control. Catching and run-outs are things we can manage. Supporting the bowlers during such times is crucial, and I believe we could have improved in that area.”

Axar Patel also praised Heinrich Klaasen's performance, noting,

“The way Klaasen batted was exceptional, and it wasn't the bowlers' fault. When a batsman plays like that, even the captain has to accept that he can't stop him. I told the bowlers that if they executed their plans well and he still played a good shot, there’s not much more they could do.”

When asked about potential changes for upcoming matches, Patel responded,

“No, I don’t feel that way right now. Given the quality of cricket we’re playing, both in batting and bowling, we should consider this a bad day and move on.”
