New Delhi. Relief news has emerged for LPG consumers across the country. In recent times, there was a delay in the delivery of gas cylinders due to international tension and pressure on energy supply, but now the situation is gradually returning to normal. Due to the efforts of agencies and the government, the waiting period has been reduced, due to which consumers are now getting cylinders faster than before.
Why did the wait increase?
The supply of crude oil and LPG was affected due to the ongoing tensions at the global level, especially the worsening situation in the West Asia region. Its effect was also seen in India, where in many places people had to wait for 40-45 days for delivery of cylinders. This situation has raised concerns among the general public, especially for people with large families and living in small towns.
Relief from supply improvement
The government and gas agencies took swift action to handle the situation. Supply of domestic LPG cylinders was given priority and the delivery system was strengthened. As a result, there is now a big improvement in the delivery rate and most of the consumers have started getting the cylinders on time.
Booking and delivery strengthened
Along with the increase in online booking, the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system has also been intensified. Under this system, a code is sent to the registered mobile number of the consumer, making the delivery process more secure and transparent. Due to this, both delivery speed and reliability have improved.
Gas delivery at record level
Recently, lakhs of cylinders were delivered to consumers in a single day, which is an indication that the agencies are working at full capacity. Distributors at many places are now working even on Sundays, so that no one has to face shortage of gas.
The condition of commercial cylinders is also better
Not only domestic, but also commercial LPG supply is gradually becoming normal. The government has also increased the allocation in this segment, which has provided relief to hotels, restaurants and other businesses. The government says that in the coming days the supply of LPG may become completely normal and the waiting period will almost end. Consumers have been appealed not to panic and make additional bookings or stocks, as this puts unnecessary pressure on the supply chain.
