Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has spoken openly for the first time on his long-running check bounce case. In a recent interview, he said that this dispute was not just a matter of financial transactions, but there were many other legal and business aspects behind it.

Entertainment News: He surrendered in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 5 February 2026 in the check bounce case of Rs 9 crore to Rajpal Yadav. Later the court granted him interim bail on the condition of depositing some part of the outstanding amount. Now Rajpal Yadav has reacted openly for the first time on this entire controversy. Describing this difficult phase of his career as the biggest crisis, he said that this time has been very challenging for him, but he has talked about learning from the situation and moving forward.

9 crore case reached Tihar Jail

This case is to check bounce of Rs 9 crore, in which Rajpal Yadav surrendered in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 5 February 2026. After some time, the court gave him relief and granted him interim bail, provided that some part of the outstanding amount was deposited. This entire controversy made a lot of headlines in Bollywood and this matter remained in discussion for a long time.

While talking in a podcast interview, Rajpal Yadav made it clear that the perception that he had no money was wrong. He said the matter was not just one of economic potential, but there were “principles and legal complexities” behind it. According to him, this dispute could have been resolved in 2012 itself, but circumstances went in a different direction.

Big claim regarding project and loss

The actor also claimed that he suffered huge financial losses due to this controversy. He said that about Rs 12 crore had already been invested in the project to which this controversy was and the overall loss reached Rs 17 to 22 crore. He said that the outcome of every project in the film industry is uncertain—some films are successful and some fail, but that does not mean fraud.

When asked whether the film industry supported him in difficult times or not, Rajpal Yadav said that he has received constant support in his 25-year-long career. He told that many people stood by him from village to Mumbai and no director or producer stopped giving him work. According to him, if it were not for the support of the industry, he would not have been able to work in films continuously for so many years.

At the end of his statement, Rajpal Yadav expressed confidence in the Indian justice system. He said that he has full faith in the judiciary, legislature and executive of the country. He also said that he did not start this fight, but he will definitely end it. According to him, many misunderstandings have arisen in this entire matter and the truth needs to come out.
