Political temperature suddenly rose in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Hundreds of workers of BJP Mahila Morcha took to the streets and demonstrated strongly against Congress and Samajwadi Party. This protest was organized regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill and women’s rights. Within no time, the protest increased so much that the women activists reached the Delhi-Lucknow highway, causing a stir there.
Loud sloganeering against the opposition
During the demonstration, the atmosphere became more heated when BJP workers started raising sharp slogans against Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. The workers raised their heads with slogans like “Rahul Gandhi is a thief” and “Akhilesh Yadav is a thief”. To protest, Mahila Morcha also burnt an effigy of Congress. He said that the opposition parties only do politics and are not concerned with the real issues of women.
There was a long jam on the highway, the police were busy
Due to this sudden demonstration, the traffic on Delhi-Lucknow highway came to a complete standstill. There were long queues of vehicles on the highway and pedestrians had to face a lot of problems. As soon as the information was received, the local police and administration team reached the spot. After much effort, the protesters were pacified and removed from the highway, after which the traffic became normal again.
Political war broke out on women empowerment
Mahila Morcha leaders made serious allegations while talking to the media. He said that Congress and Samajwadi Party have always ignored the rights of women during their rule. On the contrary, he claimed that the BJP government has taken historic steps for women empowerment. The officials bluntly warned that if the opposition’s attitude on women’s issues did not change, the movement would take an even more extreme form in the coming days.
