Lucknow, Read: Tight security arrangements have been made at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium for the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday. Monitoring has been ensured at every level by dividing the entire stadium complex into three super zones, six zones and 16 sectors. Suspicious activities, anarchists and ticket blacklers will be monitored through drones and CCTV cameras. Officials will continuously monitor security and traffic arrangements from the control room.
According to Joint Police Commissioner Law and Order Bablu Kumar, more than 2000 soldiers including Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), Anti Mine Team, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, paramilitary forces and police have been deployed in the security arrangements. Under this, three Deputy Commissioners of Police, six Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 35 Inspectors, 254 Inspectors and 465 constables will be on duty.
For traffic management, the entire area has been divided into two super zones, three zones, nine sectors and 24 sub sectors. Two DCPs, three ADCPs, nine ACPs, 28 inspectors, 161 sub-inspectors, 391 policemen and 108 home guards have been deployed in it. Besides, five company PAC, one company RAF, wireless unit and intelligence team have also been kept active.
Special arrangements for women’s safety
In view of the possibility of molestation in crowded places, 130 women policemen in plain clothes have been deployed, who will especially keep vigil around groups of women.
Crowd Management and Appeal
Separate entry and exit routes have been decided in the stadium for VVIPs, players, media and general spectators. The police have appealed to the people to use the designated gates and parking, cooperate in security checks, immediately report any suspicious object or person and follow traffic diversions. Special caution will be taken regarding traffic arrangements during and after the match.
