Wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan delivered a record-breaking fourth century, leading the Hyderabad Kingsmen to an exhilarating four-wicket win over the Multan Sultans in Match 33 of PSL 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Wednesday. They successfully chased down a challenging target of 214 runs with just three balls to spare.
The Kingsmen got off to a rocky start, losing Maaz Sadaqat for a mere seven runs in the second over, leaving them at just 13 on the scoreboard. Saim Ayub and Kusal Perera also fell quickly, leaving the team struggling at 48/3.
Captain Marnus Labuschagne managed to stabilize the innings for a short while, but everything changed when Usman Khan came in at No. 5. After surviving an early scare, he launched an aggressive counterattack that shifted the game's momentum.

Usman formed a vital 123-run partnership with Labuschagne for the fourth wicket, with both players reaching their half-centuries. Labuschagne scored 61 off 41 balls before being dismissed by Peter Siddle in the 16th over. Usman, however, kept the pressure on, reaching his century in just 47 balls, hitting an impressive 10 sixes and five fours.
Siddle made a comeback in the 18th over, taking down both Glenn Maxwell and Usman, which reignited the contest. With 26 runs needed off 12 balls, Hassan Khan's quick 24 ensured the Kingsmen crossed the finish line comfortably with three balls to spare.
Earlier, the Multan Sultans set a formidable target of 213/7 after a strong start. Openers Smith and Farhan put together a solid 132-run partnership for the first wicket, both scoring half-centuries. Farhan contributed 66 off 43 balls, while Smith dazzled with a brilliant 106 off just 50 deliveries, marking his first PSL century.
Late wickets slowed their momentum, with Akif Javed taking three wickets, while Mohammad Ali, Glenn Maxwell, Hassan Khan, and Hunain Shah each claimed one.
