Ganga Saptami Puja Muhurat

Brahma Muhurta is considered best for worship on Ganga Saptami. Its timing is from 4:20 to 5:04 in the morning. Bathing, donation and puja can be done in Madhyam Muhurta from 11:01 am to 1:30 pm.

How to get the virtue of bathing in Ganga?

If you want to enjoy the benefits of bathing in Ganga sitting at home and it is not possible to go to the banks of Ganga, then you can get the blessings of Mother Ganga in some simple ways –

• First of all you have to wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take bath.
• Mix Ganga water in the water with which you are taking bath and take bath while chanting Har Har Ganga. By doing this you will get the results of bathing in Ganga at home.
• Install a picture and statue of Mother Ganga in the home temple. If both of these are not available then you can fill Ganga water in a Kalash and worship it considering it to be the form of Mother.
• You should offer Kumkum, Roli, Akshat, fresh flowers and fruits and sweets.
• Do recite Ganga Chalisa during the puja, it is considered very fruitful.
• At last, you have to perform the Aarti of Mata by lighting a lamp of pure ghee.
• In the evening, make sure to donate lamps by lighting a lamp in the home temple, Tulsi plant or at a holy place.
