GT pacer Kagiso Rabada is in the news for reasons not related to the game. The South African fast bowler was allegedly spotted smoking in a video that went viral on the internet. Other members of GT were also present at an undisclosed location in the video. The authenticity of the video has not been independently verified.

Rabada’s past disciplinary record once again comes under the scanner with this video going viral. In IPL 2025, he was sent back to serve a one-month ban that was imposed by the South African institute for Drug Free Sports. He resumed the season after the ban. The exact details of the doping offence never came to light, allowing people to speculate.
