Improvement in Commercial LPG Supply
Thanks to the government's efforts, the supply of commercial LPG has now largely returned to normalcy. It has been restored to approximately 70 percent of its capacity. Regarding the delivery system, about 94 percent of cylinders are now being delivered using the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC). On Tuesday, approximately 5.1 million domestic LPG cylinders were delivered to customers against about 4.5 million bookings. As a result, the supply situation appears to be improving.
Sales figures also point towards rising demand. In the month of April, approximately 131,000 tons of commercial LPG were sold. Demand for the smaller 5-kg cylinders has also remained strong; since March 23, over 2 million such cylinders have been sold.
