Ravindra Jadeja Dedicates His POTM Award to Wife for His Match-winning Performance Against LSG

On a spicy surface of Ekana, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 40 runs and moved to the second spot in the IPL 2026 leaderboard. When all other batters were failing at one end, the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put on a sensational showdown with the bat to rescue RR from a batting collapse and helped the team reach a respective total. After scoring runs with his bat, he grabbed one wicket too, by dismissing Nicholas Pooran.

For his all-round brilliance, he was awarded the Player of the Match award. Jadeja has been dominating the tournament with his consistent performance so far. He has been in good touch with the bat, also delivering with the ball. Soon after delivering a match-winning performance against LSG on Wednesday, Jadeja took no time in winning hearts with his beautiful gesture. He dedicated his Player of the Match to his wife, Rivaba Jadeja, for supporting him.

Rivaba Jadeja, who is currently serving as the Education Minister of Gujarat, had already supported her husband a day prior to the match, as revealed by Ravindra Jadeja himself during the post-match presentation.

During the post-match presentation, Ravindra Jadeja said:

"Feeling good, getting Man of the Match and winning. I would like to dedicate this award to the Education Minister of Gujarat (Rivaba Jadeja). Wicket wasn't that easy because the ball was swinging and seaming. I just wanted to play longer.”

RR were struggling at one moment, losing half of their team to just 77 runs at one point. Jadeja rescued the team by playing a crucial and impactful knock of 43 runs off just 29 deliveries. He stitched a much-needed 49-run stand with the impact player Shubham Dubey (19*) and helped the team reach a challenging total of 159 in their 20 overs.

Jadeja was really impressive with the ball, delivering an economical spell by taking one wicket while giving away just 29 runs in his 4 overs. This also marked a sensational feat for Jadeja in his IPL career, winning his 17th POTM in the tournament’s history, 16 of them had come for his previous franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK), while the 17th marks the first award for the Rajasthan Royals.
