According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may worsen during the next 24 hours in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. In these areas, heavy rain is expected at many places along with winds blowing at a speed of 65 kilometers per hour.
Weather changed in Bihar and Jharkhand
In Bihar, first heat wave and then storm and rain may be seen. There is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour at many places. In Jharkhand too, the effect of rain and storm will be visible in some districts, due to which the temperature may drop slightly.
Impact of rain in hilly and north-eastern states
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, normal life may be affected due to continuous rain in the North-Eastern states. There has also been a warning of lightning and strong winds at many places.
Heat wave continues to wreak havoc in North India
On one hand, rain is bringing both relief and trouble in some states, while on the other hand, scorching heat continues in many parts of North India. The temperature is continuously increasing in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and heat like conditions are prevailing.
