New Delhi: The temperatures in Bengaluru would continue to remain high for yet another day on Friday. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature would be around 23 degrees Celsius. So basically there would be not much of a change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the city, as compared to Thursday, predicted the India Meteorological Department in the latest weather report.
Partly cloudy sky till Sunday, rains predicted for next week in Bengaluru
The weather office said that Bengaluru would witness partly cloudy sky on Friday, with no other major weather warnings issued for the day. Over the weekend however, the maximum temperatures are expected to reduce to minimum 2 degrees Celsius. On Saturday and Sunday, the maximum temperature is predicted to be around 35 degrees Celsius.
The IMD said that rains and thunderstorms would occur in Bengaluru on Monday. The temperatures however are expected to remain around 35 degrees Celsius on that day as well. The minimum would be around 23 degrees Celsius. Following heavy rainfall on Monday, the city would see generally cloudy sky, with possibility of light showers, till Wednesday, April 29.
The city recorded a maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday, showed weather data released by IMD at 5:30 pm on Thursday. This was the maximum recorded temperature in the city in the past 24 hours. The minimum was 22.9 degrees Celsius. Humidity was 58% and no rainfall was recorded in the city on the day.
Temperature in other parts of Karnataka
Meanwhile hot weather continued to prevail in other parts of Karnataka as well. Kalaburgi recorded the maximum temperature in the state on Thursday. It was 40.2 degrees Celsius, showed the data released by the weather office. In fact in most parts of coastal Karnataka and a few places in South Interior Karnataka, maximum temperatures were above normal.
The maximum temperatures in most parts of the state were between 33.5 degrees Celsius to 40.2 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures were above normal in Honnavar and Karwar of Coastal Karnataka and Bengaluru HAL AP, Bengaluru City, Chitradurga and Mysuru of South Interior Karnataka, showed the weather report. In the rest of Karnataka, maximum temperatures were recorded as normal.
Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in coastal Karnataka for the next 5 days. The maximum temperature across the state might see a rise of 2 to 3 degrees over the same period.
