Delhi: Online regularisation of unauthorised properties begins in city

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has launched the SWAGAM portal for property regularisation in 1,521 unauthorised colonies. Property owners can now apply online, with physical help desks available and over 700 professionals to assist. Regularisation certificates will be issued within 45 days, with no physical verification required.

New Delhi: The process for regularisation of properties in 1,521 unauthorised colonies in the city through filing of applications on the SWAGAM portal of the MCD kicked off on Friday, officials said.

A physical help desk has been set up in each of the 12 zonal offices of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to help the people, they said.


The MCD has empanelled more than 700 professionals who may be consulted by applicants for filing applications.

Property owners, after successfully filing applications, will be issued online regularisation certificate under the PM Uday Scheme, they said.

SMS alert services and online track of applications will also be made available to applicants.

Officials said the applicants will receive documents of regularisation within 45 days.

No physical verification will be done by the MCD and applicant's data available at PM UDAY portal will be auto fetched on the SWAGAM portal.

The officers of zonal building departments will deal with the applications on Swagam portal.

After the applicants are issued regularisation certificates, they can get their properties registered through the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) involving the revenue department, the officials.
