DRDO’s Defence Electronics Research Laboratory is offering internship opportunities to engineering students. The experience gained through this internship will not only hone students’ skills but also provide them with the opportunity to understand the intricacies of the defense sector.

DRDO DLRL Internship 2026: The Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL), operating under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited applications for internships from engineering students. Under this internship program, applications are invited for a total of 75 positions across the following branches of engineering:

Electronics and Communication Engineering: 40 Posts
Computer Science Engineering: 25 Posts
Mechanical Engineering: 10 Posts

How to Apply

Students who will be entering their final year of B.E./B.Tech. during the academic year 2026-2027 are eligible to apply for this internship.

Students with academic backlogs are not eligible.

The duration of this paid internship is tentatively set for six months, commencing on July 1, 2026.

Candidates who successfully complete this internship program will be awarded a certificate; however, students who fail to complete the full six-month internship period will not be issued an internship certificate.

Stipend: ₹30,000

Candidates selected for the internship will receive a total stipend of ₹30,000, payable in two installments (₹15,000 upon the completion of 3 months, and ₹15,000 upon the completion of 6 months). During the internship, candidates must bear all other expenses—such as accommodation, food, transportation, medical costs, etc.—themselves. Learn About the Selection Process

Candidates for the internship will be selected on the basis of merit—specifically, their CGPA up to the first semester of the third year—and, if deemed necessary, through an interview or interaction.
