Israel Relocation From India: Israel has once again opened big doors for people returning to their ancestral land. This is a very important step amid the huge tensions in the Middle East and the attacks by Lebanon’s Hezbollah. In this big plan, the transfer of people of Bnei Menashe community from India to Israel is being completed very fast. On Thursday, about 250 people from the north-eastern state of India reached Israel safely by plane.

Start of secret mission

Israel has launched a very special and secret mission in India, about 4000 kilometers away from Iran. The official name of this secret and big mission is ‘Operation Wings of Dawn’ It has been kept with the aim of bringing people back. Under this, huge preparations are being made to safely take about 5000 members from Manipur to Tel Aviv.

Who are the Bnei Menashe?

The Bnei Menashe are a large part of the Kuki, Chin and Mizo ethnic groups of Mizoram and Manipur in India. These people consider themselves to be direct descendants of the famous Lost Tribe of Israel that was exiled 2700 years ago. According to the Bible, after being exiled from the country in 722 BC, about 10,000 of their members reached India after a long journey.

financial help and scheme

Last year, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced to settle 4600 members of the community from India in Israel. The government is also providing very good financial assistance to all the people of Bnei Menashe community to start a new life there. According to Immigration Minister Ofir Sofer, this campaign will allow 1,200 people to be permanently settled in Israel every year.

better earning opportunity

Many people of the Bnei Menashe community living in India are now going to Israel for a better life and good income. While in India they were able to earn around $1,200 from farming or labor, in Israel they are earning up to $55,000. This huge and huge economic gap is also motivating them to return to their old ancestral lands.

Contribution to Army and Workforce

Israel is currently facing a huge labor shortage due to its long war with Hamas and Iran. The arrival of these people there will go a long way in filling the entire vacant workforce of the country. Not only this, in the war of 2023, more than 200 people of this Bnei Menashe special community fought along with the Israeli army.

Adherence to religion and culture

People from the Bnei Menashe community are moving there primarily to practice Judaism completely unhindered. In the hills of India they have great difficulty getting the quorum of 10 Jewish adults needed for prayer. After reaching Israel, they will be able to practice their old religious traditions very easily and without any hindrance.

New home amidst danger

This entire community is being settled in an area of Northern Israel where there is a lot of danger at present. Just last week, Hezbollah fired several missiles at the area and a fragile ceasefire is currently in place. Nearly 5,000 people have already settled in dangerous Israeli settlements like Hebron and Gaza over the past two decades.

Racism and other challenges

However, it is very difficult for these newcomers to completely adapt to Israel’s very technological and modern environment. The people who reach there have often complained about the racism and many other economic problems they face. Yet these people, who consider India as their birthplace, happily declare Israel as their real destination and want to go there.
