Sahil Parikh, an 18-year-old Delhi Capitals player, was hit on the face by the ball and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance after the injury.
A video has been doing the rounds on social media where Parikh is shown seated on a stretcher, as Delhi Capitals medical staff members and emergency staff can be seen wiping the player’s face with cotton.
Reportedly, the young cricketer was hit on his face by the ball during a practice session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The impact of the ball caused a significant injury, with the player starting to bleed as well. Emergency staff had to be called, with the player having to be rushed to the hospital on a stretcher in an ambulance.
DC is yet to provide any official update on the injury to Parikh, and further medical updates on the cricketer are currently awaited.
