Virat Kohli Eyes Another Big Sixes Record
Besides the records that he has broken in terms of fours, another milestone that is within his grasp. Kohli is just one six short of an IPL milestone. As of now, the Royal Challengers Bangalore player has 299 sixes in the IPL under his name.
In this match, if he hits one six, he will be the only player to ever score 300 sixes for one team in IPL. It highlights how consistent he has been for RCB since the inception of the IPL.
The six-hitting record holder remains Chris Gayle, who hit 357 sixes in 142 IPL matches between 2009 to 2021. He is followed by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma with 309 sixes in 276 matches while playing for the Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers.
Once again Kohli proves how essential he is in the IPL.
