Tehran/Washington: Even though the clang of weapons between America and Iran is silent and the ceasefire has been extended, the war of words between the two countries is still at its peak. While on one hand US President Donald Trump is continuously claiming his victory, on the other hand the Iranian leadership has made it clear that they are not the ones to bow down.
Iranians more united than ever: Foreign Minister Araghchi
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has given a strong message to Israel and America. In his post on the social media platform X, Araghchi said that the assassination plot by Israeli terrorists has completely failed. He stressed that Iran’s government institutions today are working with more unity, discipline and common purpose than ever before. According to Araghchi, be it the battlefield or diplomacy, Iran is standing firm with complete coordination on every front. He challenged Israel and said that today Iranian citizens are more united than ever.
‘Iran’s victory dearer than life’: President Pezeshkian
Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian has also sharply targeted America and Israel. While posting on X, he said that there is no discrimination like ‘Radical’ or ‘Moderate’ in Iran. “We are all Iranians and revolutionaries. There is rock-solid unity between the country and the government,” he said.
Pejeshkian further said that they will follow the orders of their Supreme Leader and make the attacking criminals regret their actions. He said in an emotional and strong tone, “One God, one country, one leader and one path. The path to victory for our beloved Iran is more precious than our lives.”
Awaiting second round of talks amid ceasefire
For now, the war between the US and Iran is on hold, as both sides have agreed to a temporary ceasefire to reach a permanent solution. Let us tell you that no concrete solution could be found in the first round of talks mediated by Pakistan. Now all eyes are on the second round of talks. US President Donald Trump has indicated that this conversation may be possible by the end of this week. However, looking at Iran’s attitude, it seems that the path is not going to be so easy.
