The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is set to announce the Higher Secondary (HS)—i.e., Class 12—results on May 14, 2026. According to the notification issued by the Board, the results will first be released via a press conference, following which the online link for students will be activated. Therefore, students are advised to note down the specific time and website details in advance.

How to Check the West Bengal Board Class 12 Result?
The WBCHSE Class 12 results will be declared on May 14 at 10:30 AM during a press conference. Subsequently, starting from 11:00 AM, students will be able to view their scorecards online. To check their results, students can visit the official WBCHSE website as well as the WB Results portal. On these platforms, they will be required to enter their Roll Number and other necessary details. Additionally, the results will also be available on the IE Education portal.

When and How Were the Exams Conducted?
This year, the WBCHSE Class 12 examinations were conducted between February 12 and February 27, 2026. All examinations were held in a single shift, from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM. During the examination period, approximately 2,100 examination centers were established across the state, where the exams were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.

How Many Students Participated?

This year, a total of 7,10,811 students appeared for the examination—a significantly higher number compared to previous years. Of these, 635,864 students belonged to the fourth semester batch, while 59,452 students appeared for supplementary examinations, and 15,495 students took the exam under the old syllabus. According to the statistics, the number of female students this year was considerably higher than that of male students. Approximately 395,079 girls appeared for the examination, which is about 79,347 more than the number of boys. A Special Arrangement Implemented for the First Time

A notable change was also observed in the examination this time around. Approximately 7,000 invigilators were requisitioned from primary, upper primary, and secondary schools. The reason for this was that many teachers from higher secondary schools were engaged in election-related duties. Despite this arrangement, the examination was conducted smoothly.

Result Trends from Previous Years

If we look at the results from previous years, the WBCHSE Class 12 results for 2025 were released on May 7, with a pass percentage of 90.79%. In 2024, the pass percentage stood at approximately 90%, while in 2023 and 2022, it was 89.25% and 88.44%, respectively. This clearly indicates that student performance is improving year after year.

Important Advice for Students

Due to heavy traffic on the website on the day of the results, the server may slow down; therefore, students are advised to remain patient and refrain from repeatedly refreshing the page. Keep your roll number ready in advance, and after downloading your result, ensure you save a printout of it. This will prove useful for future procedures, such as college admissions or other administrative tasks.
