Three men travelling in a BMW and a Toyota Fortuner allegedly attacked and briefly kidnapped a toll plaza worker at the Kadathanamale gate near Rajanukunte in north Bengaluru after refusing to pay the toll fee.

The accused reportedly claimed they were linked to a local MLA and forced their way past the barrier early Friday morning. The Rajanukunte police have registered an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a complaint filed by 18-year-old Druva, a toll collector from Davanagere.

As per the complaint, the BMW (registration number KA-51 MR-7090) and the Fortuner approached the toll plaza from the Doddaballapura side.

When Dhruva asked them to pay the toll, the occupants allegedly turned aggressive, saying they had neither FASTag nor cash, while invoking the MLA’s name. They reportedly punched Dhruva in the face and kicked him.

When Dhruva’s colleague Deekshith came forward to help, the group allegedly dragged him into the BMW. He was assaulted inside the vehicle and later thrown out while it was still moving.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza. Police are currently searching for the accused.
