'Arasan' update: Simbu resumes shoot for the Vetrimaaran directorial as Chennai schedule kicks off again

Actor Silambarasan is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘Arasan’. He has started shooting again for the upcoming film directed by ‘Vada Chennai’ fame Vetrimaaran . On Saturday, he shared a picture on his social media handle from the set.
Shoot resumes after temporary haltIn the photo, shared by the actor on his Instagram handle, he is seen talking with Vetrimaaran, as the shoot continues in Chennai.
As per a report by IANS, it is said that he joined the shoot again from Friday. The shooting is now going on in Chennai and it will continue for a long schedule. Earlier, the film had stopped shooting for some time due to issues between producer Ishari K Ganesh and Simbu over advance payment for another film that did not take off.
About the filmThe current schedule of ‘Arasan’ has many actors taking part. Yogi Babu and Priyanka Arul Mohan are expected to join the shoot in this schedule. Vikranth is also part of the film. Child actor Kamalesh, who was seen in Tourist Family, is also playing an important role. The first schedule of the film was completed in Kovilpatti and wrapped up on December 21 last year.
‘Arasan’ promoSpeaking of the film’s promo, it shows a special scene where Simbu speaks to director Nelson. He says, “I’m saying this only because most of the cases about which I am going to tell you are still under trial.” He also says, “If you put out a disclaimer, even if the incidents shown in the film are true, no one can question you.” The promo later shows him in a court scene where he is asked about three murders in one night. He says he has nothing to do with it, but later visuals show a different side.
‘Arasan’ marks the first collaboration between Simbu and Vetrimaaran. Vijay Sethupathi is also part of the project. Interestingly, the film is said to be connected to the world of ‘Vada Chennai’. The music is composed by Anirudh.
