KL Rahul has gone humongous against his former team, the Punjab Kings, on a hot afternoon at the Delhi Capitals. In 46 balls, he scored 151 runs, his highest run in the IPL. And this is also a record, making him the third only batter after Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum. In the 46th ball, he scored his 151st run with a boundary against Arshdeep Singh in the second-to-last ball of the innings.
Rahul finished at 152 runs not out. His innings featured 16 boundaries and nine maximums with a strike rate of 226.86. After Pathum Nissanka's dismissal, it was he and Nitish Rana who took Delhi to 264 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

| Batters | Score | Match |
| Chris Gayle | 1758 | RCB vs PW, 2013 |
| Brendon McCullum | 158* | KKR vs RCB, 2008 |
| KL Rahul | 152* | DC vs PBKS, 2026 |
| Abhsihek Sharma | 141 | SRH vs PBKS, 2025 |
| Quinton de Kock | 140* | LSG vs KKR, 2022 |
To be mentioned, KL Rahul got two lives. The first one was when he was batting at 12, and Shashank Singh dropped an absolute sitter. Later, Vijaykumar Vyshap dropped a chance from his own ball when KL was batting on 51 runs. And the dropped chances fell heavy on Punjab. The heat probably has affected them, with the fielding especially coming under scrutiny.
Delhi Capitals scored their highest ever total in IPL
Delhi Capitals put up a massive target of 264 runs- exactly what the captain Axar Patel wanted while electing to bat first. However, most of the runs came from KL's bat, scoring over 57% of the total.
Nitish Ran supported him rightfully. The fellow added 91 runs, which happens to be his highest individual score. But a clean catch from Shreyas Iyer ended Nitish Rana's dream for a century. Rana and KL put together a partnership of 220 runs, which is the highest one for DC so far.
Not only that, at the Arun Jaitly Stadium, 264 runs is the Delhi Capitals' highest score ever in their IPL history.
