The Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave fans a moment to remember in the 36th match of IPL 2026 at Jaipur. Sooryavanshi began his first over against Praful Hinge with a sequence of four successive sixes which changed the match completely.
In their previous encounter Hinge had taken Sooryavanshi's wicket but the young batter arrived at the match today with a predetermined strategy. He started the match with an aggressive approach. The bowler tried different lengths, but nothing worked as Sooryavanshi kept finding the boundary.

Revenge in style
The over began without any action but the next part of the over showed powerful batting. Sooryavanshi hit a short delivery on the third ball to achieve a massive six that went over deep square leg. It set the tone.
On the next ball he hit the ball again over the boundary this time to long leg. His strength allowed him to send the ball over the boundary despite his timing mistakes.
He hit the fifth ball for a six after stepping across to hit the ball over long-off. Hinge experienced clear pressure from the situation now.
Then came the final ball of the over. Sooryavanshi showed his power by hitting another good length ball for a long-on six. The crowd cheered as Rajasthan Royals began their match with a strong performance.

Strong start for Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals achieved 63 runs in 5 overs because Sooryavanshi batted aggressively. He remained unbeaten and kept the scoring rate very high. Sooryavanshi attacked while Yashasvi Jaiswal began his innings successfully before getting out for 10 runs. Dhruv Jurel supported from the other end and rotated the strike.
Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers faced a difficult match. Pat Cummins attempted to control the game but he ended up giving away more runs while Eshan Malinga managed to take his first wicket. Sooryavanshi scored 44 runs in 14 balls which included six sixes to give Rajasthan Royals an excellent lead in the match.
