But off the stage he is just a simple young man Abdul Rehman Sajid still exploring his identity his art and his path in life.

In Pakistan’s music industry, Haavi is becoming known not only for his voice but also for the emotions he expresses through his songs.

He started his career with Ooj Band which won the 2019 season of Pepsi Battle of the Bands.

After spending a few successful years with the band Abdul Rehman decided to begin his solo career.

Today he is considered one of the notable singers among the younger generation.

His music not only represents youth but also helps bring them closer to the Urdu language.

• Who is “Haavi”?

When Abdul Rehman stepped into his solo career he chose the stage name Haavi, which has now become his identity.

He explains that “Haavi” is actually a character he created himself.

“Haavi is the main character of a story that I present on stage.

On stage, I am Haavi while Abdul Rehman represents my real life.  This helps me keep a balance between my personal and artistic life.”

According to him these are two different worlds but both exist within the same person.

• Music as self discovery

Haavi believes that music is not just a profession it is a way to understand himself better.

His connection with music did not happen suddenly instead it slowly became an important part of his life over time.
