New Delhi. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday welcomed Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Islamabad and expressed hope for meaningful talks on regional peace and stability. Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that he welcomed the Iranian Foreign Minister along with Army Chief Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He said that during this visit there will be meaningful discussions on important issues between the two countries.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reached Islamabad on Friday. In this regard, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that the Iranian delegation will meet the top leadership to discuss the regional situation and peace efforts. According to the official statement, during this visit, Minister Abbas Araghchi will meet Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir and other senior leaders. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghai is also present with him. Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said on social media that he is optimistic about the talks to be held during the visit, which will be helpful in promoting regional peace and stability. It is being told that after the Islamabad tour, Abbas Araghchi will also visit Muscat and Moscow as part of his regional tour. This visit is taking place at a time when in view of the changing situation in the region, both Pakistan and Iran are emphasizing on strengthening peace and cooperation.
