The young batsman created history while playing for Rajasthan Royals in the 36th match of IPL 2026. In the first match of the season in Jaipur, Suryavanshi crushed the bowlers of Sunrisers Hyderabad and made an impressive impact by scoring a century in just 36 balls.
Vaibhav hits 12 sixes and 5 fours in his second IPL Completed a century. Earlier, the same 15-year-old opening batsman had scored a century in 35 balls in IPL 2025. In this match, Vaibhav attacked the Hyderabad bowlers from the very first ball. He surprised everyone by scoring a fifty in 15 balls. His explosive innings catapulted him to the top of the record books.

He became the youngest batsman to achieve this feat
In fact, Vaibhav completed 1,000 runs in T20 cricket with 45 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad and became the youngest player to reach the milestone. He achieved this feat at the age of just 15 years and 29 days, which in itself is a historic record. Suryavanshi completed 1,000 runs in the 26th innings of his T20 career. This made him the third fastest Indian batsman to reach 1,000 runs in T20 cricket. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar who achieved this milestone in 31 innings.
