Fans have been raving about a tense action thriller series which is available to stream now. The story explores the backstory of Navy SEAL Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch), who finds himself entangled in a risky CIA operation. As he becomes increasingly entangled in the high-risk operation, which lays bare the darker realities of modern warfare, he is forced to confront a growing moral conflict, blurring the line between right and wrong and ultimately shaping the man he becomes.
It is based on characters from the 2018 novel The Terminal List by Jack Carr and serves as a prequel to the Amazon Prime series of the same name, which was released in 2022. Kitsch's character is joined by Tom Hopper, who stars as Lieutenant Raife Hastings and Chris Pratt as Lieutenant James Reece - the central character in the original series.
The cast also features Dar Salim as Major Mohammed "Mo" Farooq, Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry, Robert Wisdom as Jed Haverford and Rona-Lee Shimon as Eliza Perash.
All seven episodes are available to stream on Amazon Prime.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf was an instant hit following its release in 2025, with many hailing it the best series of the year.
One wrote on X: "While I enjoyed The Terminal List, Dark Wolf was on another level. It is a truly exceptional and well-crafted masterpiece."
Another penned on IMDb: "Dark Wolf delivers a powerful and emotional prequel that goes far beyond a typical military action series. The cinematography is stunning - dark, grounded, and full of atmosphere. The soundtrack is beautifully haunting, perfectly matching the tone of the story. The action scenes are impactful not because of the explosions, but because of the emotional scars they leave behind.
"The only downside lies in the slow pacing (especially episodes 1-3) and the heavy military/political dialogue, which can be tough to follow at times. But once the story hits episode 5 onward, everything intensifies - emotionally, visually, and narratively. Overall, Dark Wolf doesn't just expand The Terminal List universe - it deepens it. It's raw, tragic, and profoundly human."
A third echoed: "Congrats on all your success. The Terminal List and Dark Wolf are some of the best TV of the last 5+ years. Keep it up!"
Calling it one of the "best shows of the year", another said: "This Terminal List spinoff is a must watch for any fan of that show. It was outstanding from the very minute to the very last minute. I can't say enough about the job Taylor Kitsch did as the lead here.
"Dark Wolf is as good as the original and it might even be better. This is a show where you can't be playing on your phone, cooking dinner or doing something else, it requires your undivided attention. It's a show that never gets stale. I can't remember ever being bored, even for one episode. I loved every second of every episode and I think you will too if you give it a chance."
