Dolly, who became a bride just two months ago, might have entered her in-laws' house with dreams, but the taunts, insults and mental torture she received there changed her world.

Now a diary found after his death has shaken the whole matter. Not only the family, but also the police are shocked after reading the last lines written on the pages of the diary, “I do not want to die, but I have been forced to such an extent that now there is no way left…” This case, which came to light in Naubasta village of Masauli police station area of Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, is once again raising serious questions about domestic abuse and safety of newly married women.

Married two months ago, did not find happiness even for a day

According to the police, Dolly, daughter of Rajkumar Verma, resident of Naubasta village, was married to Akash Patel, resident of Shobhanpurwa, on 6 February 2026. After marriage, Dolly reached her in-laws' house, but according to the family, she could never be happy there. It is alleged that she started being mentally harassed right from the initial days of their marriage. Amidst the constant stress and humiliation, she somehow spent two months at her in-laws' house. She had returned to her maternal home about a week ago. The family was hopeful that the situation would improve with time, but what happened on Friday broke the entire family.

Brother saw the dead body hanging from the noose

On Friday, when the rest of the family members had gone out for some work, Dolly committed suicide by hanging herself in the house. After some time his brother Ayush reached home. When he saw his sister hanging from the noose, he screamed. Hearing the noise, other family members also reached the spot. Dolly was immediately taken down and taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared her dead. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

The whole truth of pain was found written in the diary

Initially the police were considering it as a case of normal suicide, but during the investigation, a diary found near the dead body changed the direction of the entire case.

Dolly had described in detail the behavior of her in-laws in her diary before her death. She held her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law directly responsible for her death. She wrote in her diary, "I did not want to die, but I was forced to die so much that there was no way out. All my peace has been taken away." These lines are now considered to be the most important link in the entire matter.

Accused of insulting husband and questioning his character

In the suicide note, Dolly has made serious allegations against her husband and in-laws. She wrote that she was constantly called abusive words. Her husband used to taunt her about her obesity and harass her mentally. The most serious allegation is that her in-laws had also started raising questions on her character. This thing was breaking him to the core. The family says that Dolly was under constant stress, but she shared very little openly.

Father made serious allegations, police registered a case

Dolly's father Rajkumar Verma alleges that his daughter took this step due to harassment from her in-laws. She has filed a complaint with the police demanding action against her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law. The police have registered the case on the basis of the complaint and have started investigation considering the diary as important evidence.
