The company has launched two new models Dual and Phase. These devices look like headbands which are worn on the head. According to Prophetic AI, these devices trigger “lucid dreaming.” Lucid dreaming is a condition when a person is aware during the dream that he is dreaming and can even change it if he wishes.

What does the science behind technology say?

The company claims that these devices activate the Prefrontal Cortex of the brain through safe ultrasonic waves. This is the part of the brain that is responsible for thinking and taking decisions. Generally, this part remains less active during dreams, due to which we are not able to control our dreams. This device tries to bring awareness in dreams by activating this part. Apart from this, Electroencephalogram (EEG) sensors are also provided in it, which track brain activities. Such advanced technology is also being used in projects like Neuralink.

Will this technique really work?

The foundation of this gadget is based on transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) technology, combined with AI. Its purpose is to target specific areas of the brain during REM sleep. According to the theory, this could make dreams more vivid, memorable and controllable. But at present, this technology has not been completely scientifically proven.

Price and when will this device be available?

The Dual model of Prophetic AI will be available for $449 (approximately Rs 43,000), with deliveries expected to begin by the end of this year. At the same time, the price of Phase model has been kept at $ 1,299 (about Rs 1.2 lakh) and its shipping can start by mid-2027.
