Mahindra XUV 3XO New Car: Rising inflation and prices of petrol and diesel in the country have had a huge impact on the pockets of the common man. In such a situation, now Mahindra is preparing to launch the CNG version of its popular compact SUV XUV 3XO. According to reports, this step is being taken keeping in mind the rapidly increasing demand for CNG in India, so that customers can get a cheaper and affordable option.
What will be special in engine and power?
The current Mahindra XUV 3XO gets a 1.2-litre MPFi turbo petrol engine, which generates 111 hp power and 200 Nm torque. Apart from this, the option of 1.2-litre TGDi petrol engine (128 hp, 230 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine is also available. In the upcoming CNG version, the same 111 hp MPFi petrol engine will be offered with CNG kit. This setup will give direct competition to models like Tata Nexon iCNG already present in the market.
When will it be launched and what will be the price?
According to auto industry reports, the launch of Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG could happen in late 2026 or early 2027. At present its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 7.54 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.88 lakh. At the same time, the possible price of CNG version can be between Rs 9 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. This price can prove to be especially attractive for middle class customers, who want to enjoy SUV at low cost.
There will be no compromise in features
Mahindra XUV 3XO is known for advanced features in its segment. It has great features like dual 10.25-inch screen, Level-2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags and 360-degree camera. Most of these features will be retained in the CNG version also. However, there may be some minor changes due to the CNG tank, but its premium feel will not be affected.
CNG will increase savings, reduce expenses
The demand for CNG vehicles is increasing rapidly in India because it is much cheaper than petrol and diesel. This move by Mahindra will strengthen the company’s green portfolio and provide customers with eco-friendly options.
SUV will now be even more affordable
The CNG version of Mahindra XUV 3XO can be a big opportunity for those who want to buy a powerful SUV at a low cost. After launch, it can give tough competition to vehicles like Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Brezza.
