IPL 2026, RCB vs DC Today Match: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are without their opener Phil Salt for match 39 of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Salt sustained the injury during a training session and has not yet regained full fitness, forcing him to miss his second consecutive match. RCB batting coach Dinesh Karthik confirmed ahead of the game that the England opener remains unavailable. "Salt is injured for the moment and will miss the game vs DC," Karthik said.
In his absence, Jacob Bethell will continue to open the batting alongside Kohli. In the previous match, Bethell managed just 14 runs.
Salt has been an important contributor at the top of the order, scoring 202 runs in six matches, including two half-centuries with a highest score of 78. His aggressive starts alongside Kohli have provided early momentum for the team in several matches this season.
