Mahesh Narayanan's 'Patriot' is bringing superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty together on screen after 18 long years, and the advance booking numbers are already creating a huge buzz.
It's the film that's bringing Malayalam cinema's biggest superstars, Mohanlal and Mammootty, together in lead roles after a long gap of 18 years. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, 'Patriot' is set to hit theatres on May 1, and this reunion is its biggest selling point. The film also boasts a star-studded cast including Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara.

Despite all this, a section of movie lovers on social media felt that the film wasn't getting enough publicity or hype. But now, the advance booking numbers are here to prove them completely wrong.
Patriot Advance Booking Shatters Records
As the producers announced, all-India advance bookings for the film started today at 9 AM, though bookings in some overseas markets had already begun. On the popular ticketing platform BookMyShow (BMS), the film sold a staggering 10,000 tickets within the first 10 minutes. Currently, 'Patriot' is selling more than 12,000 tickets every hour on BMS alone. Following this massive response, box office trackers have started releasing the film's initial collection figures.
According to these reports, the film crossed the ₹50 lakh mark at the Kerala box office in just 42 minutes. Within the first 45 minutes, this figure climbed to ₹55.68 lakh. Tracker Jerin Georgekutty reports that the film has already earned ₹3.50 crore from global advance bookings. This booking frenzy clearly shows how eagerly fans have been waiting for this movie.
Now, the entire industry is keenly watching to see what the total advance booking collection will be by the time the film releases. The big question on everyone's mind is whether 'Patriot' will break the opening day record in Kerala. To achieve that, it will have to surpass the collections of 'Empuraan' and 'Leo'. Currently, 'Empuraan' holds the record for the highest first-day collection in Kerala with ₹14.07 crore, which it earned amidst huge pre-release hype. Vijay's 'Leo' is in second place with a Kerala opening of ₹12 crore
